Baking Triple Choc Cookies

Hey,
So I was in a baking mood and I just decided I shall bake. I wanted to try a new recipe and I thought what a better idea than to try Tanya Burrs Cookies. They are amazing, its hard on the outside but chewing and soft inside its like the perfect combination and they taste amazing! I have tried the milk and chocolate chip cookies but not these triple chocolate ones. I do have to say I do prefer the milk and chocolate chip. However, they both taste so good. I got the recipe from her book, which I recently got 'Love Tanya' which is so good, also I believe she may be releasing a new book just with recipes?! I could be wrong?? You may correct me. It would be so good, I'd definitely buy it, she could be a professional baker, I've never tried anything like them. Anyway, the cookies are delicious you have to try them...

This is how you make them:

You will need:
200g butter
300g caster sugar
1 large egg
275g self-raising flour
75g cocoa powder
a little dash of milk
a large bar of milk chocolate
a large bar of white chocolate
a large bar of dark chocolate  (you don't have to add all 3)
Method:
Preheat your oven on to 200 degrees celsius
Mix together your butter and sugar
Crack in your egg
Stir in all the dry ingredients
Add a dash of milk if your mixture is looking dry
Break up all of your chocolate and throw it in the bowl full of mixture then mix it all together
Line 2 trays with baking paper (the cookies will spread in the oven so don’t place them close together)
Break the mixture into balls and place them onto your trays, bear in mid they will grow
Pop them into the oven for 11 minutes – However when you get them out they will not look cooked, it is very tempting to leave them in for longer but they’ll be hard and overcooked once they are cool, and won't be as nice. Take your cookies out after 11 minutes and leave them to cool for about 30 minutes.
Now enjoy a biscuit, you will now be amazed!
I hope you enjoyed. I will see you on thursday at 8:30pm British time.
See you soon

Mi x

  1. I have Tanya's book and I really loved the look of this recipe, those cookies look amazing! I think you're right as well, apparently Tanya is coming out with her own cook book called 'Baking with Tanya' or something along those lines.
